ANH CHI YEU DAU- Roughly translated by Thanh Luong

Anh chi yeu dau (Dinh Tien Luyen)

Tutoring Anh Chi with a kind young innocent heart, Huy found her so charming that he became impressive and little broken hearted whenever she told him about her adoptive brother.
Noone could ever know what kind of feelings they both had, how much Anh Chi meant to him and how deeply but purely he needed her.
As time went by, Huy graduated from high school and Anh Chi made a lot of progress in math. They became closer as they grew up in their securely peaceful world. Her mom appreciated his help but silently check up on his behavior and reactions saying,
“I appreciate your help, Huy. But she is too young to be independent.”
His family was worried about what college he would be able to enter and how he would feel whatever would happen to him.
As an experienced-life widow, Anh Chi ‘s mom discovered how thing went through between them  how he felt about her, she decided to send Anh Chi to Domain de Marie in Dalat where she would have a discipline as a little bird in a cage under the nuns’ control.
Huy felt like losing everything in life and as human beings had been doing. He tried to keep his only mentally valuable thing. Instead of entering Architechture College in Sai Gon he had dream for, he went to Business Administration one in Dalat.
There he stayed with his aunt, an old widow living alone with a closed heart waiting for her only son to come back. He had also tried to get used to a bit change of weather, conditions of life and the sense of independence so he could be close to Anh Chi whom he could not be happy without.
Every weekend, he came to visit her telling a lie that he was her close cousin.
Being with her at weekends downtown, he felt as free as a bird knowing nothing but juts its own small world.
With homesickness, she needed him as a patient would need a care-giver or a nurse but actually she seemed to be closer to him than anyone else.
They enjoyed any second being with each other so much that they held and pushed heads together.
As a matter of fact, her mom flew there to see the unavoidable relationship between them. To avoid the bad effects that would come to Anh Chi, she decided to take her back home.
On the way back to Sai Gon, their plane blew up vanishing the most valuable thing that Huy had wanted to keep to live for, Anh Chi.
Since then noone could ever catch him smiling.
